Modern OpenPGP Encryption

Gajim now offers integrated and modern OpenPGP encryption via XEP-0374: OpenPGP for XMPP Instant Messaging. OpenPGP encryption can be used as an alternative to OMEMO encryption. It supports 1:1 chats, group chats and file transfers. Some XMPP apps already support this standard, and some more announced to support it in the future.

Improvements and Fixed Issues

• Message drafts are now persistent, which means after restarting Gajim, you can continue where you left off
• Gajim is now preconfigurable for enterprise environments
• Group chats: Chats are now named after participants if no other name is available
• Group chats: You are now allowed to send private messages as visitor
• Preferences: Disabling account while connecting has been fixed
