This release supports time zones in profiles, adds drag and drop improvements, enables displaying long messages inline, and fixes many smaller issues. Thank you for all your contributions!
Gajim 2.3 comes with a new design featuring Adwaita, a user interface library which provides building blocks for modern adaptive applications. Adwaita is used by many popular projects and provides well-designed elements for Gajim’s user interface.
Gajim 2.3 comes with a fresh new look
In Gajim 2.3.4, you can set your current timezone in your profile. This will be displayed in contact tooltips in one of the upcoming Gajim versions, among other infos.
We implemented several improvements for sending files via drag and drop or by pasting them into the chat input. You can now for example copy a file from your browser and paste it into Gajim.
Previously, Gajim displayed a [read more]
button for long messages, which would open a new window. Now you can read the full message inline.
